HATCHFEST 2009
Adrian Edmondson & ‘The Bad Shepherds’ to headline Hachfest 2009
There’s something for everyone at this year’s Hachfest, which returns to Mutimer’s Meadow, Hacheston (near Wickham Market), from 31st July to 2nd August, with headline performances from ‘The Bad Shepherds’ featuring TV’s Adrian Edmondson (Bottom/The Young Ones/Hell’s Kitchen); local 60s sensation - The Wild Oats, & Counterfeit Quo – the world’s number one tribute to Status Quo…probably!
The festival runs over 3 days & showcases 2 stages of live music, providing a great weekend of entertainment for all the family.
Throughout the weekend there will be a mixture of music from all genres. For 2009, the event kicks off with ‘Foot Stompin’ Friday’ – an evening of folk & rock, with some of East Anglia’s best known bands, including folk band ‘Murphy’s Lore’, Pogues tribute – ‘Waxie’s Dargle’, and headlined by ‘The Bad Shepherds’ featuring Adrian Edmondson.
Saturday is ‘Live, Local & Loud’ - A hard hitting day of rock and pop acts of all ages, playing originals and covers, culminating in a double headline by ‘The Wild Oats’ (back by popular demand!!), and top tribute act – ‘Counterfeit Quo’. Throughout the day there will be performances from Road to V contenders ‘Underline The Sky’, local favourites ‘Umbrella Assassins’, and new young bands ‘Walkway’ & ‘I Know Jack’. ‘The Back Porch Band’ make a welcome return after taking Hachfest by storm in 2007; energetic original indie band ‘Jade’ & space rock band ‘Mohawk’ promise to have the crowd jumping.
Sunday is ‘Alternative’, with an eclectic mix of music and dance featuring bands and solo performers from a wide range of musical genres, including original acoustic pop from ‘The Caution Horses’, & amazing jazz piano from ‘Judi Willson’. Feel good pop band ‘The Marvelous’ (who have supported ‘Hard-Fi’, ‘The Bluetones’ & ‘The Dogs’), and local Brazilian act ‘Samboomba’, ensure the weekend is rounded off with a bang!

Food & refreshments are provided on site all weekend.
