If you are finding yourself unable to get online then this can be due to a number of reasons. Here are the steps to follow in order to either setup a connection from scratch or to delete an exisiting connection and resetup again.
Setting up Suffolk Online E-Mail in Windows Mail (Vista Only)
- Click ‘Start‘.
- Click on Windows Mail
- Click on Tools
- Go down to Accounts
- Select Add on the right hand side
- Select E-Mail Account in the box that appears on the screen and click Next
- In the display name box type in Your name and click on Next at the bottom
- In the email address box type in your Suffolk Online E-mail address and click on Next at the bottom.
- Make sure that ‘My incoming mail server is set to POP3
- In the incoming mail(POP3) box type in: pop3.suffolkonline.net
- in the outgoing mail(SMTP) box type in: smtp.suffolkonline.net
- Select Next from the bottom
- In the E-mail username box type in the full email address
- Click into the password box and type in your email password
- Tick the remember by password box
- Click in the “My Outgoing Server requires authentication” box and then click “Settings”
- Ensure that “Use same settings as incoming mail server” is selected
- Click OK
- Select the checkbox Do not download my email at this time. If you do not want Windows Mail to download your emails.
- Select Finish
- Click on Close
